I gave comments to Elisabeth Gosselin-Malo of Defense News regarding reports that Finnish companies have been involved in exports to Russia. These reports comes at a critical time, as Finland is in the midst of a presidential election campaign, in which popular president Sauli Niinistö will have to step aside after twelve rather eventful years as he is term limited.

In many cases, these goods are not sold directly from the manufacturer to the user, but rather they are traded through local dealer networks, which makes it difficult for Western companies wanting to abide to the sanctions regime, to control where their products end up
