Finnish magazine Suomen Sotilas published a 40-page report on the Rafale from an HX viewpoint. Google Translate works, to an extent, but well, some of the sentences turn up oddly, some of the translation choices are odd, and I know from experience automatic translators can trip up on some word and end up inverting the meaning of a sentence. (A recent example I had was a sentence like “project A was put on the backburner to focus on project B”, it was automatically translated to “project A was put on the backburner and then project B as well”…)
So if you’re looking for material with which to start the new year, maybe some proof-read translation of a few interesting excerpt from it? The whole thing is available online here:
